My husband and I have not a local church, partly because the same thing that you require. Some churches my shame, that we exceed them. Some churches do not even know that they were new. A church has called us to thank us for coming, but the message has been automated, and also give us the opportunity to ask questions!
Then must find a balance. Visitors are welcome, the first by someone in the hall. Should be invited to sit with an influential member. But all this must be done quietly, without tags or special programs.
Someone should ask what is the church? Do you have children? Looking for a marriage counselor? A follow-up visit, there may be invited to lunch. Something to break the ice.
People do not want the church than a week pep rally. You really want to participate, make new friends, feel they belong there. And it should not jump with them ".

I have no idea. I'm still a visitor in a church is always nice to lay pastors / people who welcome visitors and guests to take important and valued service. It's especially nice when people come to me to show, ask questions about me, and then tell me a thing or two about themselves and their church. Not many people are approaching, which is a shame. Physically, I approached the visitor is important for me to introduce services to some form of service.
